Our Story
The journey to Islands of Loom began with a simple, personal commitment.
Our founders have embraced a sustainable and mindful lifestyle over the years, making conscious efforts to reduce their footprint and live in harmony with the planet. While these individual choices had an impact, they began to feel it wasn’t enough. They wanted to do more—something bigger that would inspire change on a wider scale. After much contemplation, they decided to follow their Ikigai and pursue a purpose that could truly make a difference for the planet. That’s how Islands of Loom was born.
Reimagining a world where People, Planet and Progress are intertwined.
“We aimed to create a brand that empowers others to live more consciously, with clothing that is comfortable and responsibly made. Now, let’s be honest; we know “sustainability” has become one of the most overused words in recent times. It often gets tossed around without much thought, leaving many to wonder if it still resonates as it should. But here’s the thing: while we can’t find a better word to describe what we do, we can promise you this—sustainability for us isn’t just a marketing term; it’s a way of life. Our commitment to sustainability runs deep – so much so that even in our everyday lives, we choose mindful actions. When we say we take a holistic approach to sustainability, it’s more than just words – it’s a way of life.”
We understand that the most sustainable choice often lies in reusing what’s already in your closet or opting for thrifted pieces.
However, we also recognize that there are times when you might need something new. When that happens, we aspire to be the conscious choice you make. At Islands of Loom, every piece is thoughtfully designed with a focus on comfort, quality, and longevity. Our clothes aren’t just made for today; they’re crafted with tomorrow in mind.
